The British and Irish Tactical Medical Association (BRITMA) maintains Position Statements for each elected and appointed leadership role within the Association. These documents define responsibilities, expectations, and ensure transparency in governance. All positions are held for a two-year term and role holders uphold BRITMA’s values of professionalism, collaboration, and integrity.
Term: 2 years
Provides visionary leadership and professional representation for BRITMA. Chairs key meetings, oversees professional direction, and ensures alignment with BRITMA’s mission and strategic goals.
View President Position StatementTerm: 2 years
Supports the President in leadership, member engagement, and committee coordination. Assists in delivering BRITMA’s strategic plan and assumes delegated duties where required.
View Vice President Position StatementTerm: 2 years
Provides subject-matter expertise and supports the delivery of BRITMA’s strategic direction. Promotes BRITMA’s values and professional reputation across their sector.
View Board Member Position StatementAll elected positions are open to Professional Members of BRITMA who have maintained active membership for the duration of the electoral cycle. Elections are conducted in accordance with the BRITMA Constitution and overseen by the Membership and Community Committee to ensure fairness and transparency.
All role holders must commit to the full two-year term, uphold BRITMA’s Constitution, policies, and values, abide by the Code of Conduct and Professional Standards Policy, represent BRITMA professionally across all interactions, and remain an active BRITMA Member.
